NO MUSAK!

Posted by: FriskyRidgewood

"I worry that the person who thought up Muzak might be thinking up something else."
Lily Tomlin, comedian

The Lily Tomlin quote above made me think about the fact that MUSAK was designed to not offend anybody. It is supposed to be noncommittal, non threatening, sort of white noise. Just something to take up space inoffensively. I don't want music like that. I DON'T WANT A LIFE LIKE THAT! I want both music and a life that are "loud and proud!" Whatever you decide to do today, do it with your whole self. Turn up your radio or CD player louder than usual and get the beat as you finish up your Friday.  Be bold this weekend as you do your weekend chores or as you do something fun and out-of-the-ordinary. Let the neighbors wonder what you're up to. Let the dog perk up her ears to try to figure out what you're doing. Say exactly what you think ... with grace and joy.  Eat what you want! Sit down and have a delicious healthy full-of-all-the-right-colors salad or a chocolate chip cookie ice cream sandwich and love every calorie-laden delicious bite of it! Sunday, go worship God somewhere with your whole heart.  Check out a Spirit-filled Full-Faith Church in the middle of town and join in their celebration!  Whatever you're doing in the hours of this day or during this weekend, do it with gusto and wild abandon! Let's all make a pact!  NO MUSAK TODAY ... or this whole weekend!

"Whatever you do, do it with all your heart ..."
   Colossians 3:23a
