A Glutton for LifePosted by: FriskyRidgewood on Jul 07, 2010 |

"I'm a glutton for life." Gladys Knight
Even though common sense and spiritual teaching tell us not to be gluttons as far a food is concerned, I like that visual image ... a glutton for life. Life is meant to be lived and as Barrie Arachtingi a counselor and friend likes to say, not just lived, but lived LARGE! Lived with gusto. Lived with a sense of excitement and positive anticipation. Sometimes during a midlife divorce, life seems to be a drag, a burden, something to be simply endured and slogged through. But that's not how we are called to live. We are called to live life abundantly! When I sign my Radical Recovery book, I often put, "There is glorious life ahead -- Find it! Grab it! Share it!" So today, lets all try to do that. There IS glorious life ahead. There is glorious life on our plate NOW! Life IS meant to be lived large. Roll with the punches. Cry if you have to. Laugh when you can. But for heaven's sake, let's quit tiptoeing and creeping around and just enduring our gift of life. Let's EAT UP!
"I have come that they might have life and have it more abundantly." John 10:10
