"Living life intensely has a momentum and exhilaration of its own ..." Bill Bradley
I don't know about you, but during my divorce I wasted so much time crying and feeling sorry for myself and saying 'woe is me ... poor me!" And when you are in the middle of the worst parts of this journey, that kind of intensity is normal. Sometimes it's necessary to cry until you can't cry any more and mourn deeply and grieve intensely. But once you've done that, start the process of living intensely. Grab hold of life! All of life. Don't be afraid of life. After you get through this trial, you develop a personal strength that will get you through about anything. After a while you even start feeling both peace and power, because you think to yourself, "I survived that ... I can survive anything!" And it's exhilarating to realize that you have your whole wonderful life ahead of you to discover and embrace what you're passionate about. Celebrate your new life in some small way today. Do some wonderful, extravagant little thing for yourself or for someone else today. Even if you don't feel like it, do something with your whole heart ... intensely ... today. Walk or run as fast as you can around the block. Go out in the backyard or to the park and scream as loudly as you can. Do what ever you need to do intensely ... get that part over with and then use that momentum to move on.
"Celebrate God all day, every day. I mean, revel in him!" Philippians 4:4 (The Message)
