"Normal day, let me be aware of the treasure you are.  Let me learn from you, love you, bless you before you depart.  Let me not pass you by in quest of some rare and perfect tomorrow."  Mary Jean Iron

In going through a midlife divorce, you are looking for a better day tomorrow because the day you're in is often full of tough, hard confrontations and challenges.  There's no doubt about it, these are very hard days.  But don't completely use up the hours of this day with negatatives.  In doing that, you miss completely the joys available this very instant.  During this challenging day, think about what good things you DO have.  Your senses.... hearing, seeing, feeling, tasting.  Your body ... your legs, arms, fingers, feet.  Your relationships ... children, grandchidren, friends, co-worders, brothers, sisters.  Your unnumbered blessings... clean water, enough food to eat, peaches, ... chocolate.  Try to focus on those things instead of the difficulties of the day.  Deal with the difficulties the best you can.  See to the hard decisions you must make today, but also find the little joys tucked away here and there.  Realize that the only perfect days are the days that we learn to accept the challenges, celebrate the opportunities, and see the miracle of these normal, beautiful, wild, unpredictable, ordinary hours.

"This day is holy to our Lord. Do not grieve, for the joy of the LORD is your strength."   Nehemiah 8:10b
