“When you ask for help, hurdles of the mind and heart that seemed totally insurmountable on your own become effortless. Anything is possible.” ~ Geneen Roth, When You Eat at the Refrigerator, Pull Up a Chair

Geneen Roth helps people who have a problem with weight, appearance and body image. She is a very effective (and funny) advocate for people who struggle with self-esteem, and her book has a chapter on “Ask for Help. You Can’t Do It Alone.” She encourages people to find support, and once put an ad in the Santa Cruz paper asking for women who wanted to deal with their issues about food but without dieting… 10 women showed up.

RADiCAL Groups

I think finding others to share with during your midlife divorce recovery journey is invaluable. I called women I knew who had recently been divorced, and some of them knew others, so our first fluid RADiCAL support group was about eight women. It can be incredibly empowering to find others who understand the despair you are feeling.

Our RADiCAL groups connect you with women who can encourage you, not just cry with you. “The support of which I am speaking is for your whole being. For everything you want to become. For telling the truth. For being spacious with yourself and with others. Support for your heart’s desires, for what you value most about being alive.”

If you’re interested in starting a local RADiCAL Support Group either at your church or in your home, Click Here to learn more about our program and how you can bring amazing change to a group of women near you. And all of our materials are in an easy to use kit that take you through our 10-week course, from finding women to attend, to class discussion topics, to weekly activities. Learn more about our online divorce support group.
