“Just because something you want doesn’t appear in your life right away, doesn’t mean that it’s not on the delivery truck heading toward you … just a wee bit stuck in traffic … but soon to arrive yet.” ~ Karen Salmonsohn, Enough Damnit: A cynics guide to finally getting what you want out of life
To have beautiful flowers in the Spring, you must plant bulbs in the hard, Fall ground. The growing process goes on unnoticed for many cold months before we finally get to see the finished product. And when we finally do see the beautiful, strong tulips, we forget about the many months we had to wait for their arrival.
“Yet is a very powerful little big word,” Karen reminds us. There is just one letter difference between Y-E-T and Y-E-S. Most of us aren’t very patient. We want relief and we want it now! We want to feel better, stop crying, find peace, and laugh again. But we forget that growth and forward movement usually isn’t fast.
So remember, the package is on its way. Keep on keeping on every single day. Continue to make the good, right choices in every circumstance, and you will reap the rewards. God’s promises will be fulfilled. In the meantime, get out and help clear the traffic for others while you’re waiting for your Yes! truck to arrive.
“Let us not become weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up. Therefore, as we have opportunity, let us do good to all people, especially to those who belong to the family of believers.” ~ Galatians 6:10 (The Living Bible)
