“Every day that is born into the world comes like a burst of music and rings the whole day through, and you make of it a dance, a dirge, or a life march, as you will.”
~ Thomas Carlyle

This morning when I walked out on the deck, there was just a hint of pink over to the East, the city already busy in the distance, the warm air, the day full of promise. As I work, the day will blossom. Thomas Carlyle’s quote above is great for any time of the year, but in the Spring especially, the day is truly like an invigorating burst of music.

Make Life A Dance!

I’m going to do my best to make life a dance! Go outside, lift up your arms and take in a deep, full breath and thank God that you have this day.

As the speaker said at church,”When you consider what is going on in places all over this planet, we, here in this place, have hit the cosmic lottery. We have so much. We are covered in blessings every day.” I agree, and we so often forget that.

Today IS Glorious

No matter what you have on your plate, you can make today glorious! Even if you are going to court. Even if you have to talk about custody arrangements. Even if you have to sell your house. Even if you see your ex-husband with his girlfriend, you can make YOUR day great!

Thank God for it. Notice something beautiful about it (it’s not hard in the fall). Do something wonderful with it. Volunteer somewhere. Encourage someone. Smile. Laugh. Move your body. Eat something you love. Celebrate this day!

“This is the day that the Lord has made, Let us rejoice and be glad in it!”
 ~ Psalm 118:24 (NIV)
