After my Dad’s macular degeneration made it impossible for him to read small print, whenever I went to my parents’ house, I would find a book from my dad’s library and bring it home. On one trip I brought back How to Be Happy in Five Minutes. On another trip I found the book above, Secret Mental Powers.
I want secret mental powers. When I was in the middle of my wasband’s worst deceptions, I went to a local art fair and found a contemporary-looking ring. As I look down on it on my finger right now the top is a circle of silver filled with resin and with a semi-precious stone in the middle of it. The reason I bought the ring is that the sign beside it said, “Secret Decoder Ring.”
I told the woman who made it (LuLu from Seattle) that I didn’t care how much it cost, I needed it! She laughed and said, “If you make a fist and face the ring out, you can also put a hex on someone without them even knowing.” All the better, I thought! No, she wasn’t a witch. Just an artist with a fun and funky sense of humor. I still like my secret decoder ring.
When I saw the title of Frank Young’s book, Secret Mental Powers, I thought I might like it, too. He actually has some good advice culled from 25 years of research on successful people. In a nutshell, his theory is that it all starts in how we think.
Every success in life starts with the thought of success whether it’s getting over a midlife divorce, competing in a sport, building a company, or anything else in life. By the way, the Miracle Mind Magic Stimulator is, in part, visualizing yourself and your situation, as you want it to be, not how it is.
In divorce, you might say, I just want my old life back. No you don’t, really. What you want is a glorious new life where you and the people in that life respect and encourage and love each other. You really want a life where you discover and accomplish God’s incredible plan for you.
And keep in mind, God’s will for your life is always, always abundant and overflowing with good things. In reality, the true Miracle Mind Magic Stimulator is letting God transform your life into his purpose. It’s better than magic! It’s miraculous!
